The EDL’s Double Standards On Community Action

When the news of grooming gangs emerged, the English Defence League (EDL) were eager to jump onto the bandwagon and tarnish ethnic minority communities with the same brush. Holding protests, calling it a racial and religious issue (evidence proves this wrong), and also urging the communities to do something.

Various parts of the media have reported however, that parts of the ethnic minority communities are doing something. The Telegraph & Argus and the Huddersfield Daily Examiner reported that Imams (from different groups) have vowed to help tackle the grooming of young girls. AsianImage also reported that the Bradford Council of Mosques, the Muslim Women’s Council and the Bradford City Centre Project have also been helping tackle the issue as well as holding talks with police and constables.

But the question needs to be asked…

Why doesn’t the EDL do anything when the majority of the white British community does something? i.e. terrorist-related acts, child grooming, paedophilia and other criminal offences etc...

As EDL Review has found out, there have been more than 40 cases of white British paedophiles/or child groomers reported about in the news and the EDL haven’t said a thing about it. Without a doubt, these child groomers and paedophiles come in all shapes and forms, but the EDL blatantly love targeting.

The main issue is: How can the EDL complain that minority communities aren’t doing enough, when they themselves are not doing anything on their side? It's double standards!

  1. Rather than tackling even people on their 'own' side, they just winge like babies and then throw a tantrum
