We found a useful video explaining Taqiyya for Dummies (as this is the EDL we’re talking about). We find that the concept barely exists in the majority of Sunni jurisprudence. Even so, it can only be used in serious cases.
Quote: ‘Taqqiya is a practice in Shia Islam whereby adherents may conceal their faith when they feel that they are under threat, persecution or compulsion.’
What’s strange is that other Islamophobes don’t know the concept of Taqiyya and blame Muslims for lying deliberately. We know that this allegation carries no weight and yet again, it’s another example of fear mongering.
He hasnt been in a mosque nevermind explaining what taqiyaa is >_>
ReplyDeleteTrue, lying itself can be considered as a sin in Islam, 'frequent lying' is one of the 70 sins mentioned by Muhammad. He even said,
Delete"The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘You must be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man will keep speaking the truth and striving to speak the truth until he will be recorded with Allaah as a siddeeq (speaker of the truth). Beware of telling lies, for lying leads to immorality and immorality leads to Hellfire. A man will keep telling lies and striving to tell lies until he is recorded with Allaah as a liar." (Hadith: Muslim)
