EDL Bristol Demo Cost Around £495,000

BBC News has reported that the recent English Defence League (EDL) march in Bristol cost at least £495,000 according to figures collected by the police force. The figure is expected to rise as final costs are received.

More than 1,300 officers and civilian staff from 23 other forces policed the demonstration on the 14th of July (14/07/12), in which 16 arrests were made.

This is just goes to show again, that these protests are economically and financially making things worse for our country. Money is being wasted.

The Bristol demo was a bad protest, with many arrests being made. EDL supporters were recorded shouting racist and discriminatory slurs and one crazy supporter even shouted “MI6 666 Muslim b*stards”.
