Lancashire EDL Members Jailed

Five English Defence League (EDL) supporters from East Lancashire have been imprisoned over their part in the protest held at Brierfield last year.

The court said the protest was like a pack of “wild animals”.

The EDL members attacked an Asian man, and used a car to run over another. They then went to the home of the local MEP and terrorized his wife and children.

Casuals United, a group of hooligans closely connected to the EDL, started sticking up for the convicted, and failed to give reasons as to why it happened.

Thugs sticking up for thugs.

Bernard Holmes co-ordinated the protest and has been convicted. Leonard Hawley, 47, of Worcester Road, Blackburn, Jason Smith, 43, formerly of Burnley but now of Hollinge Road, Todmorden, David Wilson, 47,of Devon Road, Blackburn, have also been charged.
