EDL Supporters Harass Women!

A Government-backed hotline has been measuring and monitoring anti-Muslim attacks and it has recently chronicled over 140 cases to date, with a lot of surprising results.

The recent study showed us that supporters from the English Defence League (EDL) and British National Party (BNP) have a high tendency to harass or use violence against Muslim women! Making up 33% of the cases reported!

The survey found:

• Muslim women are the most frequent targets of harassment (75%)
• The victims of violence range up to 89 years old!
• The perpetrators involve white males aged between 20-50
• Right-wing supporters and sympathisers were involved in one-third (33%) of the cases

Clearly, with 75% of women being the targets, it shows that the dangerous far-right (such as the EDL and the BNP) are spawning extremism and violence in their own groups.

We have also documented an online threat by a EDL supporter running the Blackburn Divison Facebook Page who threatened his own wife for buying a cereal box with a Halal logo on it!
