U.S. Anti-Islam Groups Funded Geert Wilders

Reuters reported that anti-Islam groups in America have provided financial support to Dutch politician Geert Wilders, a controversial man whom many British far-right members support.

One of the funders was David Horowitz (who runs a network of Los Angeles-based conservative groups including websites) said he paid Wilders fees for making some speeches, security costs during student protests and overnight accommodation for his Dutch bodyguards during a 2009 U.S. trip.

Wilders also admitted to having many travel and accommodation expenses paid. Officials from his Party have said he has no personal funds but funds almost entirely rely on foreign donations.

The reason for this post was to highlight links within the Islamophobia network. The EDL are friends of Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller (as seen in the image below), two renown Islamophobes who are close to Horowitz. Spencer’s JihadWatch as we know, is funded by his organisation.

Fear Inc. helped expose the Islamophobia network. Read it here (PDF).
