Britain First Video Shared By Donald Trump Is Fake News

Today the President of the US, Donald Trump, retweeted three videos by the deputy leader of far right anti-Muslim group Britain First.

Trump sent anti-Muslim messages from right-wing group's deputy leader Jayda Fransen out to his 43.5 million followers.

The first video claimed to show a “Muslim migrant beats up Dutch boy on crutches!”

The truth – No Muslim migrant

De Telegraaf, regarded as one of the largest Dutch daily morning newspapers, referred to the same video in May 13th 2017. There is no mention of any ‘Muslim migrant’ as Fransen stated.

The story (which can be found here), stated that:

“A 16-year-old boy from Edam-Volendam was arrested Saturday morning in his home town… suspected of mistreating a boy on crutches.”

The police had launched an investigation after the video of the incident had appeared on the site Dumpert.nl, according to a spokeswoman for the police.

A sixteen-year-old boy who made the film was also arrested. De Telegraaf stated that he was from Monnickendam.

What we can gather is that there is no indication of whether the perpetrators were Muslim, or migrants. What we do know is that the perpetrators were Dutch.

Right-wing groups have a history of sharing false information and stories to promote hate. Britain First have done this many times as can be seen here and here.

According to the Mirror, Fransen was arrested last week in London, in connection with a speech she made in Belfast over the summer. She is currently on bail over four counts of racially aggravated harassment over things she said during a court case in Kent.

Britain First try to blame sex assault on migrants

Far right hate group Britain First are a deceptive bunch of bigots, and will do anything to pass off false information to mislead the gullible.

On 6 February, Britain First shared a Daily Mail story on Facebook which reported on a female journalist who was groped live on television reporting from the Cologne carnival in Germany.

Britain First, blaming refugees and migrants as usual, wrote ‘deport these migrant fiends’, and went on to ask supporters to ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ the post.

But…

The same Daily Mail story mentioned that Ms Labye… “a broadcast journalist with 20 years experience behind her, knows her attackers were German.”

RT also wrote that “several men of apparently European appearance were making obscene gestures behind her. They tried to grope her and reportedly asked her to sleep with one of them.”

Lionheart GB lunatics incite hate with false story

Far-right group Britain First is very closely affiliated to groups such as the Knights Templar International and Lionheart GB.

Yesterday, we documented how Britain First shared a false story from the Daily Express, who suggested 1.5 million British Muslims support terror group ISIS based on an inaccurate poll from the Mirror.

It was untrue, and the Daily Express removed the story from its site.

Lionheart GB, accused by many of being run by Britain First itself, also joined in sharing this story. However, the group said it all points to a ‘coming Civil War!’...

...even though the story was false.

As you can see, Lionheart GB is purposefully inflaming tensions in Britain.

This also strangely ties in with what HOPE Not Hate wrote about Britain First. It said that the party has “doomsday prophesy where it believes civilization will end in bloodshed between Christians and Muslims. To this end, the party has stepped up its efforts to antagonised Muslim groups.”

Britain First recycles false news story to spread hate

According to Political Scrapbook, the Daily Express removed a false story recently suggesting that 1.5 million British Muslims support terror group ISIS based on an inaccurate poll from the Mirror.

Britain First knew the Daily Express story was removed, as shown below.

Some days later, Britain First’s affiliate page, Knights Templar International, shared the same story with a similar headline to the Daily Express. Britain First shared it.

Britain First has no regard for truth. They know people will believe this garbage.

Britain First lose supporters for sharing plane crash rumours

Sometimes, far-right hate groups are so keen in promoting themselves they pass rumors off as truth.

In recent news, a man has been suspected of deliberately crashing a Germanwings A320 plane in the French Alps and killed 150 people.

UK hate group Britain First was quick to pick up on the news and shared a link that suggested the pilot was a “convert to Islam”. In the post, Britain First wrote: “LET'S FACE FACTS: THE FREE WORLD IS AT WAR WITH JIHAD!”

Britain First shares rumour to whip up hate

There is no evidence to suggest the man was a convert to Islam.

All that is being alleged is that the pilot required treatment for depression, and was recommended regular psychological assessment.

But the BBC also reports that prosecutors say there was no evidence of a political or religious motive for his actions and no suicide note has been found.

Fortunately, Britain First lost many supporters who knew something was wrong with the pathetic post.

Sources that have been circulating news that this man was supposedly a “convert to Islam” all seem to be anti-Muslim ones that are irrationally jumping to conclusions with no confirmations.

Britain First seem happy in sharing stories from the vile echo chamber to over 600,000 people just to further their political goals and scare the gullible.

Britain First share ISIS propaganda to spread fear

Britain First are hell-bent on scaring people about immigrants, Muslims and extremists for its own political goals.

In its poor attempt of a newspaper, an article titled “Islamic State heading for the UK!” shows exactly how the group is spreading fear.

The article warns it’s “only a matter of time before ISIS took advantage” and says secret plans to “infiltrate Britain have been discovered detailing how ISIS intend to use Libya as a gateway to Europe”.

But as the Independent reported, the said plans were ISIS propaganda.

The researcher who helped bring this into light even emphasised that the propaganda “could not be taken as fact”, yet Britain First have used this as evidence to back up their anti-immigration views.

It just goes to show how vile Britain First are. And it wasn’t long ago when we saw supporters glorifying ISIS when they bombed innocents.

Britain First disrespect Muslim veteran’s funeral

Britain First have shamed themselves once again for disrespecting a WW2 veteran’s funeral.

In an attempt to incite hate, Britain First posted up an image of Muslims praying outside and wrote a caption reading: “MEANWHILE IN BIRMINGHAM….”.

As Britain First had intended to stoke fear and outrage, some supporters were quick to call for death, including suggestions to bomb the innocent people with “napalm bombs” and “grenades”, as shown by screenshots below.

The truth behind the image

The image was in fact stolen from the Birmingham Mail who wrote a story last month.

It had reported on the funeral of Sufi Muhammed Abdullah Khan, a mosque founder who had served in the British Indian Army in WW2.

Called an “inspirational man,” he came to Birmingham in 1962 and worked for the community. The image was just outside the mosque where mourners prayed for him.

But Britain First showed everyone that they have no respect for veterans or the dead.

It’s not the first time Britain First have disrespected a veteran. They also photoshopped one veteran and he reported them for slander but then they removed the image to cover their tracks.

Britain First cry babies are the only ones offended by flags

Far-right hate group Britain First regularly complain about people (particularly foreigners) being offended by flags, as countless repetitive click-bait posts would suggest.

But Britain First don’t realise that no-one is being stopped from flying flags, and no-one seems to be offended by them (even the group fly them in demonstrations with no problem).

Recently it was Pakistan day, and Rochdale Council decided to fly the Pakistani flag in solidarity just for the day.

But Britain First cry babies were the only ones who were offended by a flag. They posted up a link to a story to incite hate saying: “ROCHDALE COUNCIL FLIES THE PAKISTANI FLAG! AGAIN!”.

Some supporters showed their true colours by using racial slurs, and some even sent Rochdale Council messages of abuse on social media.

Intolerance and hypocrisy from Britain First yet again.

Britain First have no respect for veterans and this is proof

Far right hate group Britain First came under fire worldwide for posting up an image of a Navy veteran holding up a photoshopped sign.

The Yorkshire Standard reported that the group posted up a FAKE image of a Muslim man holding up a sign that read: “Boycott bigotry and kill all non Muslims”.

The original image was of Dawud Walid who was taking part in a anti-racism rally, as shown below.

He is a Navy veteran who has served in the United States Navy and earned two United States Navy & Marine Corp Achievement medals.

But sick Britain First edited and shared the photoshopped image to over 600,000 people on Facebook and it was additionally circulated over 2000 times.

When the news story published by the YS got popular, Britain First removed the image out of fear because they knew people had found out what they had done.

Mr Walid said he reported Britain First to the UK authorities for defamation and slander.

Another piece of proof that Britain First has no respect for veterans is when the leader of the group was recorded by a veteran collecting money for Help for Heroes in a charity scam.

Britain First radicalises public with post likely to be untrue

In a previous article (here), we examined how far-right UK group Britain First shared a quote supposedly made by Iranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini that claimed he said that: “A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby...”

After research, we concluded that there is no evidence this quote ever existed, even though Britain First admins irrationally came to the conclusion it was a ‘true quote’.

But because Britain First said it was true, gullible Britain First supporters (and those who are not) immediately had their emotions stirred.

Without checking whether what Britain First posted was true, people voiced outrage and some even went to the lengths of posting up comments some may find extreme. It seems they were directed at mainly those of the Muslim faith.

Here are some disturbing ones we found on the Facebook page.

This is yet another example of how groups such as Britain First are feeding extremism.

Britain First stirred race hate with murder leaflets

Back in 2012, Kent News reported that far right group Britain First (BF) used the images of two murdered young men and claimed they were white victims of racial murders – much to the distress of their families.

A Britain First flyer, sent out by the organisation headlined ‘RIP the white British victims of racism... will YOU help honour their memory?’ and included pictures of Harry Potter star Rob Knox and Michael Chapman.

It was signed by Paul Goulding himself, the face of the group, and read: ‘These poor souls – all of them members of our own nation and our own flesh and blood – have been deprived of life by violent immigrant racists in horrific and brutal attacks.’

No evidence came forth proving the murders were racially motivated, and the parents of the victims were in distress. They also said the party never even sought permission to use the pictures for political purposes.

One of the fathers of the murder victims told Kent News: “I am not in favour of this at all; I am not in favour of my son’s photograph being on there, and I don’t wish to be associated with this in any way. I don’t support what they are trying to do – they have their facts wrong anyway. It was not a racial attack.

“My son has been dead for four years and I want him to lay there in peace. I do not want his name used in this fashion. I want to take this to the Prime Minister – it’s just wrong doing something like this. It will upset all the family.”

When Britain First found out that people were concerned, they removed the photos from their website, but the photos were still seen in a video afterwards.

EDL Spreads Fake News About Pub Banning Armed Forces

Recently, the English Defence League (EDL) shared a story claiming a Leicester pub “enforced a new scheme which seeks to ban all British military personnel from entering their premises in fear of upsetting local non British citizens”.

Rumours about The Globe pub were originally circulated via a blog named the Daily Bale, a far-right blog that seems to defame innocent people and make up stories.

The Daily Bale post was accompanied by a picture of a couple (also seen in the thumbnail above) which the site claimed was the landlord and landlady, but in reality, it was a couple from a pub in Cheshire. The picture had been lifted from a totally different, positive and unconnected story.

The story itself was found as untrue, according to the pub themselves...

 ...and the police, who confirmed that the bogus posts were false.

After the story was shared, members of staff received a barrage of threatening and abusive phone calls from people who believed in it, including members of the EDL.

Angry people harassed the pub and the venue had to be closed for a short while due to fears about the safety of staff. Here are examples of the threats some EDL supporters gave on the official Facebook Page.

The EDL later apologised for sharing the post when more people found out the truth. But why they shared it in the first place without knowing it was true is a question we all need to be asking.
