The
Jarrow and Hebburn Gazette reported that a South Tyneside ex-soldier named Kenneth used his
Facebook page to make hate-filled comments about Muslims. It is also reported that he wrote the anti-Islamic messages after he started supporting the far-right
English Defence League (
EDL).
He pleaded guilty to two counts of sending an offensive message by a public communication network at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court last week.
He has also been sentenced for a separate criminal damage charge relating to his grandfather’s home in the past.
This soldier definitely isn't a hero.
