Help For Heroes Charity Rejects EDL Money

Help for Heroes, the British charity set up to aid injured servicemen and women has told the English Defence League (EDL) leader Tommy Robinson that they don’t want any money from him.

The EDL leader planned to have a sponsored walk across the city of London for an ex-soldier who was killed by two extremists on the street in Woolwich.

But the charity refused to accept any money from the leader, who notably has previous convictions for assaulting an ex-soldier and an off-duty police officer.

Many people have criticised the EDL recently for hijacking the Woolwich murder to stir up hate across the country and to promote their cause.
